Nicholson Street Community House [NSCH]

Google Maps or Street View (labelled inaccurately "City of Coburg Neighbourhood House")

Note that this is NOT the same Nicholson Street as in East Brunswick. The Lygon Street tram line doglegs into Holmes Street at Albion Street, which in turn becomes Nicholson Street at Moreland Road. Nicholson Street in East Coburg runs between Moreland Road and Bell Street.

We're two blocks north of Moreland Road on the right-hand side as you head toward Bell Street, on the corner of Glengyle Street. Look for the building with the mosaics and the white swimming pool-style fence.

Accessibility

Nicholson Street Community House is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp at the front door (although there are some tight turns), the doorways are standard width or wider, and there is a disabled toilet.

However, there is a childproof gate at the base of the ramp. If you require assistance with the gate, please either call in advance and let us know when to expect you, or if you have a mobile give us a call when you arrive.

If you are enrolling for a class a group that runs outside office hours, please let us know if you will require assistance entering the building, so that we can let the tutor know to expect you and let you in. Tutors will have access to incoming phone calls on our normal number, provided they are expecting the call. Carers attending with participants in after hours classes should also let us know, as the wheelchair-accessible front door is generally kept locked for security reasons during after hours sessions.
