Nicholson Street Community House provides a number of services to our local community: Occasional Childcare, Hire of House, computer/internet use and office services such as photocopying and faxing.
Fees apply to all these services.
Occasional Childcare
The Occasional Childcare programme is intended for children aged 0 to 5 years. Children learn social skills and engage in age-appropriate activities in a supervised and friendly environment.
The OCC programme operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Bookings are essential.

Hire of House
Nicholson Street Community House can be hired for:
- Group Meetings
- Training Programmes
- Community Activities
Please note that hire of house is only available to organisations with their own public liability insurance. Proof of insurance coverage is required.

Computer and Internet Use
Our PCs, which currently run Windows XP, are available for anyone needing to prepare résumés, assignments, job applications or other important documents; or simply to practice computer skills. Computers are only available during office hours, when not needed for classes.
There is no charge to use the computers, however there is a cost for printing (20¢ per greyscale page)
If you wish to use the internet, please speak to the House Co-ordinator.
Anyone wishing to use the computers must ring in advance to confirm availability.
Office Services
NSCH offers certain office services to House users during office hours. Charges for these services are:
- Photocopying: 20¢ per page [BYO paper, 10¢ per page]
- Faxes: 50¢ per page (note that we cannot receive incoming faxes)
- Laminating: $1 per page [A4 only]
